Warning: spoilers.

Scroll down to watch the first six minutes of tonight's 'Grey's Anatomy' finale.

Last week left off with several of the doctors getting on a plane. They were flying to another hospital to assist with the separation of conjoined twins. Initially it was supposed to be Cristina, Meredith, Derek, Lexie, Sloan, and Alex on the plane, but at the last minute Arizona was so mad at Alex (for deciding to accept a job at Hopkins) that she went instead. As we know from the promo, only Sloan appears to have escaped injury in the crash. Cristina has a dislocated shoulder, Meredith has a head injury, Derek's hand is injured, Lexie is trapped under part of the plane (and tachycardic), and Arizona has a severe break in her leg. The previews have promised us that "one will die"...which is a little unsettling to say the least. I actually wish that they would stop revealing these things, since I would rather be shocked in a moment then have anticipation build for a week. Especially if that anticipation turns out to not really be warranted. For instance, what if it's the pilot that dies? He can't feel either of his legs, so that can't be good. Still, it's unlikely to be him--mainly because Rhimes (the show's creator) has announced that a series regular will die in tonight's episode. Ironically, we all know who it won't be. The actors who play Cristina (Sandra Oh), Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) all signed their contracts last week, and the show has officially been renewed for a ninth season. Leading us to the question of the day: who will die in tonight's episode?

To clarify, our remaining choices (provided the doctor who dies is in the plane crash) are Lexie, Sloan, and Arizona.

Lexie has not had a major storyline this season, and perhaps because of this internet speculation points to her as the unlucky doctor. However, Lexie finally revealed to Sloan that she still loves him last week, and their relationship did provide a lot of action (pun intended) during season seven. Maybe, just maybe, this will be enough to protect her?

Arizona has played a more active role in the storyline this season, but it's possible she might be the one to go. Justin Chambers, who plays Alex Karev, just signed a contract with the other original cast members, so he's not going anywhere. That means no Hopkins, despite the fact that he adamantly stated he was going there at the end of last week's episode. If Arizona dies, it will certainly give Alex a strong reason to stick around. It would also (potentially) give Lexie a much larger role in next season's story. Who wouldn't want to see Sloan and Lexie help raise Sofia? Plus, Jessica Capshaw, who plays Arizona, is pregnant with her third child, and it's possible that this may have led her to ask to leave the show.

Now, that being said, Sloan could also die. He has had a side-story for most of this season (dating a doctor who doesn't work at Seattle-Grace), but he has also mentored Avery, been Derek's sounding board, and been the object of Lexie's desire. Hard to say if he will be the one to go.

What do you think? Who will die tonight? And if you had to choose one of the doctors to go, who would it be?

And finally, is anyone else seriously worried about Derek's hand? How is he possibly going to be able to operate again?

SPOILERS Recap of Grey's Anatomy: Flight

I am completely in shock. Not only did they kill off a main character, but they did it in the first fifteen minutes! Lexie died while holding Mark's hand, and while he promised her that he really did love her (not just because she was dying). Shortly after that, Mark went into severe shock, presumably due to the massive blunt force trauma that he suffered on his chest. Everyone had been completely unaware of it, because he was walking around as though he wasn't injured at all. Meanwhile, Derek's hand was severely injured, and Meredith pulled it closed by weaving a safety pin in and and out of his skin. Thank goodness we didn't actually have to watch that happening.

The episode ended with a massive cliffhanger. Meredith, Derek, Arizona, Cristina, Mark and the pilot are all still trapped at the crash site. Cristina is sure that Owen will have noticed that they are missing, but her belief is actually misplaced. It turns out that he has been so busy all day that he doesn't notice the plethora of messages that the other hospital has left him until the very end of his shift. At that point it is getting dark on the mountain, and not only are the doctors injured--they all run the risk of freezing to death.

While all of this is happening, the episode continuously intercuts scenes back at Seattle-Grace Hospital. Bailey and Ben (that cute nurse she is dating) are engaged, and continue to bicker about whether he will accept the surgical internship he was offered in LA.

Teddy has been offered a new job, but ensures Owen that she won't take it. She doesn't want to abandon him now that they're finally on good terms again--especially since Cristina is leaving. She also can't imagine leaving the hospital filled with all her best and worst memories about her husband. Eventually Owen fires her, forcing her to move on, and finally doing a good thing. This actually makes me feel okay about him for the first time since the abortion drama. Of course, this may mean that Teddy won't be around next season.

Callie is finally happy with her life, and is eagerly waiting for Arizona to come back. Alex admits in a voicemail he leaves for Arizona that the only reason he is accepting the Hopkins job is to prove that he can stand on his own two feet, without her holding his hand. And Avery and April are still arguing about whether he will accept the position he was offered. He finally decides to accept it, though he tells her he's not happy about it. She breaks down and tells him that she is unhappy--she isn't board certified, she is no longer a virgin, and she doesn't feel like a good Christian anymore. And she's losing her best friend because he's moving. Avery doesn't say anything to her in response, but just tells her she looks pretty, and offers his arm to her. They walk into a celebration dinner organized by the old chief, and Alex sits down too. They wait for Cristina and Meredith to show up, but obviously they won't.

That's the end of the episode.

What will happen next season? Will everyone else survive the plane crash? It looked as though Arizona had severe internal bleeding (she was coughing up blood), and Mark had a pulmonary embolism that they had to drain with rudimentary supplies, so neither of those things are good. Plus, will Derek's hand recover? This whole thing is a little too reminiscent of the series finale of 'Crossing Jordan'--but at least we know that this show will be back. 'Grey's Anatomy' was recently renewed for a ninth season.

'The Munsters', 'Mockingbird Lane', and New Cast

A revamp is heading your way. 'The Munsters', the famous series that focused on a family of monsters living in suburban America, is being remade by NBC.

The original starred Yvonne De Carlo as Lily Munster, the mother of the family, and Fred Gwynne as her husband Herman Munster. There is also a grandfather, a son, and a niece, who all live in the family's creepy home. The sitcom ran for 70 episodes in the 1960s, and can still be seen in syndication.

A spin-off series, 'The Munsters Today', ran for 72 episodes from 1988 until 1991.

The new show, currently titled 'Mockingbird Lane', is being developed for NBC. Bryan Fuller, who created 'Pushing Daisies', is attached.

Here is the current cast:

Portia de Rossi as Lily

Jerry O'Connell as Herman

Jerry O'Connell as Herman

Mason Cook as Eddie

Charity Wakefield as Marilyn
Mariana Klaveno was originally cast to play Lily, but was in second position due to 'Devious Maids'. Although that show was not picked up by ABC, it is still being shopped to networks (particuarly Lifetime) and she could not get out of her contract. De Rossi was originally in the pilot for 'The Smart One', a show that would have been produced by her wife, Ellen DeGeneres' company, but it was passed over by ABC.

'Mockingbird Lane' differs from 'The Munsters' as it is being promoted as a one-hour drama with comedic elements, as opposed to the original which was a half-hour comedy.

'Cheer Perfection' is Coming to TLC

To contact us Click HERE
Cheerleading is coming to TLC! No, not a taped competition, but rather a show about the cutthroat world of children's cheerleading.

Sound oddly familiar? It should. The show is set up with a format that is almost identical to Lifetime's very successful show, 'Dance Moms'. After all, no one owns the petty mom/competitive kid arena.

TLC is clearly hoping to be as successful as 'Dance Moms', and maybe steal some of Lifetime's viewers while they're at it.

The existance of the new cheerleading show, 'Cheer Perfection', is particuarly interesting considering the barb that was thrown early on during 'Dance Moms'. When someone pointed out similaries between 'Toddlers & Tiaras' and 'Dance Moms', the mothers stated in an interview that at least their kids were "talented".

The coach in 'Cheer Perfection' is none other than Alisha Dunlap, whose daughter appeared on an episode of 'Toddlers & Tiaras'. Perhaps part of the reason she agreed to be in 'Cheer Perfection' is because she's trying to prove to those mothers on 'Dance Moms' that her pageant child actually is talented. Not just in pageants, but on the gym floor. Or maybe she just wants to extend her fifteen minutes of fame. You know what, I'd go with the latter.

Regardless, expect crazy routines and gymanstics from these kids too. And if they're trying to one-up each other, when's the last time you saw the kids on 'Dance Moms' do basket tosses?

I'm a super happy cheerleader.
'Cheer Perfection' premieres Wednesday, July 11th at 10/9C on TLC.

Reviews 6/19/12 - 6/25/12

The Newsroom is supposed to leave viewers misty-eyed at the end of the pilot, reminiscent of a bygone era when Americans could trust journalists to give them the truth every night of the week. In this regard, Aaron Sorkin succeeds. He is a master of drawing pathos out of nowhere, after all. The massive problems quickly arise, however, when Sorkin thinks he has good ideas--which is about all the time. He's not a deep thinker, someone who really understands anything at all, and yet his ideological bent is so present that an outside viewer, with no knowledge of Sorkin, may mistake the show for a parody. This begins in the pilot's opening monologue when the main character, a news anchor, rants about why America is no longer the greatest nation.

In full he says, "We stood up for what was right, we fought for moral reasons, we passed laws, struck down laws for moral reasons, we waged wars on poverty, not on poor people. We sacrificed, we cared about our neighbors, we put our money where our mouths were, and we never beat our chest. We built great big things, made ungodly technological advances, explored the universe, cured diseases, and we cultivated the world's greatest artists and the world's greatest economy. We reached for the stars, acted like men, we aspired to intelligence, we didn't belittle it, it didn't make us feel inferior. We didn't identify ourselves by who we voted for in the last election, and we didn't scare so easy. We were able be these things and do these things because we were informed by great men, men who were revered. First step in solving a problem is recognizing there is one. America is not the greatest country anymore."

The first part about the past is, of course, a crock of bullshit by anyone who knows anything about history, and the second part about the "great men" is just dishonest pandering to the media elite. Fundamentally, Aaron Sorkin does not understand why America is the greatest country. Prior to the monologue, the main character rattles off America's rankings in various subjects, adding that the only thing America is first in is military spending. (Herein lies Sorkin's uncritical mind. More reasonable analysis would point out that America has by far the largest GDP in the world and that comparable countries spend a much lower share of their GDP on military expenditures. A statement like this would show that the US is indeed rich as fuck (the real reason for being #1) but also that perhaps the US does spend too much on the military. Stupid statements with no perspective, like pointing out that the US spends more than the next 26 countries combined, means nothing without context. (Journalists seem to love numbers--26, 40 quadrillion barrels, 100 thousand barrels--which hardly mean anything, and are adverse to percentages and comparisons.) But what do I know, I'm not a journalist.

The Newsroom keys in on broadcast journalism, and there are actually a few good moments in the pilot when everyone is scrambling after the Deepwater Horizon rig blows up and they are trying to figure out what happened. The tension in newsroom--the uncertainty of what happened and what's going to happen, whether the story will blow up in their faces--is exciting stuff. Unfortunately, it also shows what's wrong with journalism. Who are these journalists? Are they experts about anything? The answer, after seeing the characters interact for over an hour, is an emphatic no. These are regular people, spurned to action by proximity to computers with the AP wire, not education or special ability. Then they try to dig deeper. "Should government regulators have done more?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" We see the uncritical eye of journalist and the problem with the 24/7 newscycle. They look for a simple answers to problems, thinking there are never tradeoffs between things. Suppose the rigs have a 0.001% chance of exploding in a year, and suppose checking them once a month reduces this risk to 0.00099% (either by catching a problem or companies being more careful as a result), then is there a clear imperative that they should be checked each month? What happens when a serious fault is found? Is there an incentive through a fine/punishment so companies make sure there are no problems, even minor ones? Shouldn't this be important information for these "great men?"  (Obviously I have no clue about any specifics, but that's the kind of information I'd like to know.) At the most basic level, these journalists should recognize that no one wants an oil rig to blow up and that the risk of explosion may depend on how much things cost, but apparently no one cared to find out these things.

There is instant reaction to developing stories, regardless of all the facts. Journalists are so eager to get the story out and they know so little that they end up going on air, spouting off a few choice facts, getting into the faces of interviewees, entertaining the public, and suddenly they're supposed to be revered. That's horseshit and apparently what Aaron Sorkin is promoting.

I caught up on The Killing in the past week, and if there's one thing that was clear to me after watching episodes consecutively, it's that you can't keep the tone and lighting of a show so gloomy for 26 episodes. It's not the story that bothered me (though a good story could have helped) so much as the sluggishness and overall feel of the show. By the end, I just wanted it to be over with. As for the eventual reveal of the real killer Terry, I thought that came together fairly well. I believe in my first review of The Killing, I predicted the killer would be Jamie, thinking his crazy political aspirations would lead him to kill. Close enough, I guess!

Falling Skies hasn't changed, unfortunately. This week's episode featured one of the stupidest moments on the series, Tom volunteering to join the Berserkers right after they try to kill him. This is somehow supposed to make sense, but it just makes Tom look either stupid or too boy scout. The rest of the episode is a tad more sensible. Jimmy gets killed off kind of randomly and a plane supposedly from Charleston arrives. In the end, the group heads south for Charleston where great promises await. The characters didn't seem to mind that it sounded far too good to be true, though. I guess that never happened in Tom's history books.

True Blood always starts seasons quickly, but this season is quite different, with the third episode essentially repeating everything in the second episode, which was already a bit sparse. We get different looks at the same situation, but overall it was a bit surprisingly to see the season proceed in this manner. Maybe this means the end of the season will be exciting for change. The stuff that is usually good remained good, so Pam's flashbacks were great, as well as the exploration into vampire history. Of course there was the usual bad parts with Tara and the pointless Terry parts.

I have been reluctant to comment on Continuum since it doesn't air in the US, but by the time it reaches Syfy, I'll probably have forgotten everything. The show continues to expand on the future and it also dived into time travel mechanics, namely what would happen if someone's ancestor was killed. As we saw in this week's episode, killing one's grandmother does nothing to that person. Huge implications for the future and whether Kiera can actually return to where she belongs.

Suits builds on the discord sown in the season two premiere with more drama and setup for the future. This time we see more Rachel and how she fits in to Mike's life. Mike wants to be with her and honest, but Harvey recognizes that more people should not know about Mike's secret, and since Harvey has more power, Mike has to comply. They haven't reached the stage yet where Mike would be willing to blackmail Harvey, but that's definitely a possibility, given their predicament.

Burn Notice seems to have gotten a second wind in its sixth season, although it's yet to be seen whether it lasts. With Fiona dealing with people in prison and Michael not thinking straight, there are more elements which actually matter than in previous seasons when there was a random big bad to contend with.

Wilfred is a puzzling show and the second season premiere may be the most puzzling episode yet. It drags us back and forth between Ryan's work and the mental institution, both equally crazy places, before settling in a world where Ryan is still a lawyer, albeit a very tired one, Jenna is still there but is with another guy, and the basement exists. At the end of the day, Wilfred is a show about a talking dog. It'll be delightful no matter what, regardless of the plot.

Dallas took a step down in the second week as we got to see how the show would go without the normal expository material. There is more of the shady dealings, backstabbings, and characters trying to control their feelings, but also a lot more of the clunky, juvenile science from the first two episodes. It's embarrassingly bad. Even the most seasoned actors wouldn't be able to make it sound believable.

Royal Pains is trying to go for more drama this season and I'm hesitant to say whether this was a good move. Admittedly, Hank and Evan fighting is more interesting than the usual storylines, but this constant sniping undermines their characters and makes them all look back, Divya included. One thing I'll say for certain is that the handling of Jill's story has been horrific. The writers drag out her leaving for a season, then abruptly has her job taken away right before leaving, and then in last week's episode gets a new, better job in Africa. WTF?

HIMYM: The Magician's Code

Lots of exciting things happened on tonight's 'How I Met Your Mother'. Some of them were very expected, and at least one of them was a little less expected. If you haven't seen the episode yet, don't read what follows, because it has massive spoilers.

1) Expected: Marshall and Barney were still stuck in Atlantic City, and Marshall was still completely trashed.

2) Unexpected: Robin has delivered calves before, and has decided this means she can easily deliver and baby.

3) Expected: Ted was way too emotionally invested in the birth of the baby. He made a "labor announcement" video that had photos of Lily, Marshall, and himself. Which he then emailed to everyone he could think of.

4) Expected: Barney came up with ridiculous and hilarious plans in an attempt to ensure that Marshall would be there for his son's birth.

5) Expected: Marshall made it in the nick of time. They named the baby after his deceased father, Marvin. With a middle name courtesy of Barney (Waitforit...no really).

6) Unexpected/Expected: Barney travels with a magic trick. And it was his fancy was of proposing to Quinn.

7) Unexpected: Quinn agreed to quit her stripper job.

8) Expected: Marshall and Lily loved the baby, but parenthood is overwhelming them.

9) Unexpected/Expected: The new Barney has realized people have feelings, and asked Robin if she was okay with the engagement.

10) Expected: Robin was devastated that Barney got engaged to Quinn, but told him she was happy.

11) Expected: Victoria left her German fiance at the altar, and ran off with Ted.

12) Unexpected/Expected: Robin and Barney (probably) get engaged/may get married in the future.*

 About "the" Wedding
*We again saw a scene from a future wedding. Presumably (thought not definitively) the wedding that we saw part of during last season's finale. Barney was the groom, and the bride was Robin. Meaning: ultimately Robin and Barney will get engaged, and will plan a wedding. But 'HIMYM' can be tricky, and after years of being led on I try not to believe in anything they hint at. Remember that scene from the end of last season where Barney turns to Ted and says, "Am I making the right decision?". That makes me a little concerned that he may not actually marry Robin, even if they do get engaged and plan a wedding. The show creators seem to believe that people call off their weddings right and left (Ted and Stella, Klaus and Victoria, Marshall and Lily). I hope not, because I want Robin and Barney to end up together. Thoughts?

Castle: Always

Season 4, Episode 23

Castle and Beckett are finally in a good place, in fact they might have...a date? Alexis is graduating from high school, and will be busy partying with her classmates after the ceremony. Martha is going out of town to see friends. And Castle is planning a movie marathon to drown his sorrows. He invites Beckett, and she accepts!

Unfortunately, it seems like the date might be put on hold. They are at the scene of a homicide, and one of the recent addresses that the dead man visited was Captain Montgomery's house. If you're an avid Castle viewer, you'll remember that Montgomery was the old chief of police, and he was mixed up in Beckett's mother's (Johanna Beckett) murder. He tried to redeem himself though, and died trying to protect her. It was in vain, because Beckett was later shot by the same men who killed Montgomery, and she barely survived.

They all rush to Montgomery's house, only to discover that there was a break-in and all of his files were taken. Beckett becomes anxious, sure that it all has something to do with her shooting. She asks Castle to be reassuring, showing how much their relationship has grown.

They discover that the man who was shot used to be a member of a gang. He had cleaned his act together and joined the military, but they think he might have gone back to the gang life. Especially because he was having trouble paying bills, and there were sightings of another gang member near where his body was found. His wife assures them this is not true, and begs them to find his killer. Beckett and Castle breathe a sigh of relief, because it appears that this case may have nothing to do with her shooting. Castle is particuarly hopeful that this is the case. Particuarly because, as we learned in earlier episodes, he is helping support a deal made by Montgomery's friend--that vital evidence in Johanna Beckett's murder case will remain hidden if Kate Beckett stays alive, and that she will stay alive if she doesn't reopen the investigation.

They bring the other gang member in for questioning, and he says he had no role in the murder. Beckett is loathe to believe him, but soon she has to, because his DNA does not match the skin cells found under the murdered man's fingernails. It turns out the DNA isn't even in the system.

But there is a DNA match--to the sample got from Beckett's shooting. It's the same shooter. Castle panics and Beckett's on the warpath. She tells Esposito and Ryan that they have to leave everything out of the system, and not divulge anything they learn, because they have no idea if dirty cops are still around. Esposito immediately agrees, though Ryan is more wary.

Beckett meets the gang member in his prison cell, and promises to make his five year sentence disappear if he'll tell her what he knows about the murder. She finds out that the murdered man was paid a lot of money by someone he had met in the military to steal the information from Montgomery's widow.

When they track the money, they realize that the murdered man's wife knew about it all along--she just withdrew the huge sum. Which must mean that: 1) she knew about it all along, and 2) she is preparing to run.

Beckett and co. catch her before she does, and force her to tell them everything. She admits that her husband was meeting the man at a church. When they go to the church, they find surveillance footage, and a photo of the shooter. Beckett won't let them run it through the system, because of the potential for bad cops. Instead they realize that he is holding a rental car keychain, and Ryan and Esposito start combing through the company's logs.

Castle goes to Beckett's apartment to confront her. He calls her Kate through out the confrontation, which is what he always does when they're having a more personal conversation. He asks Kate to stop investigating, and finally divulges everything to her. She is stunned and feels betrayed. He explains that he did it because he loves her, but she says he was treating her like a child. They argue, and ultimately Castle declares that she is right, she is her own person, but he won't stand by and watch her get killed. He tells her he is leaving, for good.

Beckett is still on the warpath, and chooses not to process Castle's departure. The next day, when Ryan and Esposito ask where he is, she merely says that he is off the case. They figured out who rented the car, although they still don't know the shooter's real name. They luck out because he hasn't returned the rental yet, and all the cars have GPS. They track the car to a hotel. At this point Ryan wants to call for back-up, he is worried that Beckett is in over her head, and that she'll get herself killed. She tells him that he's wrong, and that she has been preparing for this moment since she was thirteen years old. Esposito agrees with Beckett, presumably due to his experience in the war, and they rush off to confront the man. Ryan, extremely concerned, attempts to call Castle, but Castle ignores the call. He has truly chosen to move on.

Esposito and Beckett enter the shooter's room, and discover all of Montgomery's files. They also see his wedding album, and notice that one of the photos has been torn out. Just as they are getting ready to call for backup, the shooter appears out of no where. He kills a hotel employee, knocks Esposito unconscious, and shoves Beckett to the ground. She chases after him, attempting to shoot him but missing. She follows him up to the roof where they fight, and Beckett is repeatedly knocked to the ground. Finally it seems like she has the upper hand, and she tells him that he has no idea who he is dealing with. But then he manages to knock her partly off the building. She is barely hanging onto the edge of the building, and she is so high up that if she fell there is no way she would survive the drop. He tells her that he has a very good idea who he is dealing with, and then runs off.

Beckett tries to hold on, but she is losing her grip, and her fingers are barely grasping the edge of the building. In her panic she whispers for Castle. Then she hears someone yelling "Beckett" and she repeatedly yells for Castle. She is pulled back onto the roof, and she is still saying Castle when she finds herself face to face with Ryan. Castle isn't there. But Ryan's there, and so is the chief, and she is not pleased.

Meanwhile, Castle is attending Alexis' graduation. When she told him how scared she was about moving on, and losing things, he told her to write from the heart. And her speech is certainly meaningful. The overarching theme is that the people you truly love and care about are with you--always. Castle looks pensive here, and it's not surprising. After all, "always" is the phrase that Beckett and Castle use to reassure each other that they will support each other.

Back at the precinct, Gates (the chief) tells Esposito and Beckett that they are suspended. Beckett tries to argue, but she is quickly shot down. Espoito turns in his badge and gun immediately, but Beckett is more hesitant. When she does, she lovingly strokes her badge, and then places it on the table and tells Gates that she resigns. She then leaves the chief's office, and immediately goes to pack up her desk. She never looks back on the precinct, although she does glance at the chair that Castle normally occupies.

Beckett walks through the rain, eventually ending up on a park swing. She looks at the empty one beside her, and it is clear that she feels lonely.

Castle is back at his loft after the graduation ceremony, and he is on the phone with Alexis. He promises her that she doesn't need to be concerned, and that she should have fun. He'll just watch some TV. His phone then rings, and looking down he sees that it is Beckett. He hits ignore. He switches on the television, only to have his electronic case file of Beckett's shooting pop up. He hesitantly drags the file to the trash. Then there is a banging on his door. He opens it only to find Beckett, dripping wet, standing in his doorway. He asks her, "what do you want?" and she says, "you", and then kisses him. He kisses her back once, but then takes a step away. She offers explanation, telling him that she went after the shooter, and that she almost died, but that all she could think about the entire time was him: "He got away and I didn't care. I almost died, and all I could think about was you". He must accept this apology, because they start kissing furiously. He unbuttons her shirt, and when he sees the scar from the bullet, he places his hand over it as though to protect her. She takes his hand and they walk toward the bedroom.

Montgomery's friend hears a noise in his house, and turns toward it. It's the shooter. The friend tells the shooter he thought they had an agreement, but the shooter tells him that it was all blackmail. And now that they're going to have all the information, the blackmail is over. And Kate Beckett will die.

How's that for a season finale? What did you think?

The season finale aired on Monday, May 7th 2012, and was written by Andrew Marlowe and Terri Miller.

Thoughts?

Watch This: The Daly Show

It's almost summer, which means many of our favorite comedies are gone until September. Don't get too worried though, because I have a solution! Or rather, Tim Daly, Sam Daly, and Ben Shelton have a solution. Guess I can't take all the credit. What I can take credit for is introducing you to one of the funniest series of web videos*.

Seriously, guys, I'm not joking. Watch these now. They're probably funnier if you're TV obsessed like I am--knowing who Tim Daly and Sam Daly are, and who their guest stars are, improves the comedy. Whatever. My mom watched it and she doesn't even own a television. And she still laughed. Or so she claims. She lives 564 miles away from me, which is the length of 32 football fields, so who knows, really.

I'm not going to divulge the plot of these videos, because if I did you'd probably applaud my awesome description and then never watch them. Instead, what I have to say is that Tim Daly stars on 'Private Practice', and Sam Daly is his son, and Ben Shelton is the writer/director of these shorts and the creator of 'My Name is Lisa' (which is a short film you should also watch, but later, because right now we're focusing on 'The Daly Show', and stop distracting me). A lot of their guest stars are actors from other TV shows. To really follow these shorts you should watch at least one episode of 'Private Practice', and in case you've been missing out on the best thing ever, you should also watch an episode of 'Castle'. In fact, you should watch all of 'Castle', but again, later. Also, if you're super young, but old enough to responsibly use the internet, Google 'Whoopi Goldberg'.

In summation:

1. Watch 'The Daly Show' for free on YouTube
2. Maybe watch an episode of 'Private Practice'
3. Definitely watch 'Castle'
4. Google Whoopi Goldberg
5. Watch 'My Name is Lisa' on YouTube

*Provided you've never seen them before. If you're already a fan, credit probably, unfortunately, cannot be received.
